This Modern Dance is the signature piece of the Dance Company of the Academy of Dance and Choreography. “Awakenings” is performed by 2 - 4 dancers. The dance is a reflective piece that explores the literal and spiritual concepts of awakening. Modern dance technique is combined with improvised movement phrases to give each dancer his/her unique character and expression on the personal journey of awakening.
